The children learnt all about Pentecost and how the Holy Spirit came to the Apostles, just as Jesus had promised. They discovered how the Holy Spirit gave the Apostles the courage and strength to spread the Good News of God across the world. To deepen their understanding, the children visited their local church and explored the special places inside. They saw the altar, where the priest celebrates Mass, the baptismal font, where people are welcomed into God's family, the lectern, where the Word of God is read, and the tabernacle, where the Eucharist is kept. It was a wonderful way for the children to connect their learning with their faith in a real and meaningful way.
