In Spring 1, the children were given several tasks.  They needed to investigate a number of biographies and create a success criteria for them.  They needed to evaluate whether a biography about Alfred the Great was a well written one or not - using their success criteria.  The classes then had a debate about this.  Finally, the children needed to retrieve facts from a biography and understand that some facts are more important than others, when reading or writing a biography.
