    Autumn Term

This term we have been writing about the Great Fire of London. We have been finding out all about what happened using accounts from Samuel Pepys Diary.

In maths we have been learning about measures and fractions as well as place value. We measured our teachers in metres and centimetres and found out who was the tallest.

In design technology we went to study the Hanwell Viaduct and this inspired us to design and build our own bridges.

    Spring Term

This term we have been finding out all about Florence Nightingale and the important contribution she made to nursing. We had a great day out at Gunnersbury Park Museum where actually got to meet Florence and discovered how she helped the badly wounded soldiers in the Crimean war.
